Designed by Grafton Architects, Temple Bar Square is one of three new public spaces in the Temple Bar Area. Prior to its redevelopment the square was a vacant lot used for car parking. The square was created by setting back from the existing street line a new set of buildings.

Patricia Hurl is an artist in residence at Temple Bar Galleries visible on the left hand side of the square. She has been working in the area since the 1980s.
